If you wish to achieve a membership status of ‘Silver’ you need to provide us with:

• A clear copy of the main page of your passport, drivers licence or other identity document.
• A clear copy of a utility bill (gas, electric, telephone bill or bank, credit card statement, etc) showing your
  address.
• Automated Telephone Verification.

We are not accepting applications for Gold status membership at the moment.

Please Note:

• The address on your documents must match the address given in your membership profile.
• We can accept documents in English, Western European languages or Chinese. Other non-Western scripts e.g, Russian, Arabic, Greek etc must be officially translated.
• Documents must be uploaded in either PDF (.pdf), GIF (.gif) or JPEG (.jpg) formats only. File sizes must not be over 1MB.
• We do not accept copies by e-mail or fax because of security concerns. If you do not have a scanner, most photo stores can now copy documents onto a disk for you. You can then upload your files from the disk on your PC.
• Once we receive your ID documents it can take 1-2 days to complete verification and change your status.

Why so much security?
We are sorry that we have to implement so much security to allow the purchase of Digital Gold and Silver, but it is essential due to massive Internet fraud and the targeting of this industry by thieves and organised crime gangs. We have to deal with auction fraud, identity theft and phishing all the time and because Digital Gold and Silver is non refundable, it is near impossible to retrieve stolen funds after a crime has taken place. We are also a responsible company and must adhere to financial rules and regulations regarding money laundering.

We have to be proactive and avoid the potential problems before they happen so we have implemented 'levels' to adhere to our due diligence methods.
